Prez report Sept 2010

I hope you managed to dodge all the raindrops during August – not easy to do as there was a heap of them.

Thanks to Waikato Yamaha for bringing down the big Yamaha Super Tenere to display at last month”s club night. Quite an impressive looking bike and with that 1200cc motor I’m sure it delivers the goods. It certainly looks as though it would.
August was riding month for those who took part in the club events which were the Coromandel overnighter road ride, club Trials champs at Kent”s Quarry and a Fifty Frenzy last (very wet) Sunday.

We have club night this Thursday, just before the Cold Kiwi (on this coming weekend). The trials guys are having a training day on Sun 12th Sept and then we have our re-scheduled Hot Pool road ride on Sept 19th. (Those trials training days are well worthwhile for those trials riders wanting to hone their skills, and you’ve gotta have a heap of honed skills to ride a bike where some of those riders go). The Hot Pool ride is for those of you who want a leisurely ride and relax. We normally go via Cambridge and Matamata to Te Aroha. Then back though to the big city

Then we do it all again for October. Don’t forget to put the swap meet date into your memory banks (Sunday October 17th)
